Classic Car Donation

At the end of September, a well-known successful Keighley businessman generously donated a stunningly beautiful historic Jaguar sports car XK 150S OTS to the Foundation, to be sold at auction to raise funds for Project Beacon.

The car was originally built in 1959 with a 3.4l engine but was fitted with its present, more powerful, 3.8l engine in 1985 at the time of a factory rebuild. The car will be auctioned at Bonhams London showroom on 12 December 2024 and aims to fetch over £100,000.

Since its rebuild, the car has only been driven around 18,350 miles. The interior, seats, dashboard, carpets, red cloth tonneau and fully-operational hood are all original factory-fitted items. It has passed its MOT with flying colours this month (October) and is considered by its recent owner to be fully functional, roadworthy and in very good condition throughout.

The Trustees would like to express their sincere thanks to the donor for this exceptionally generous gift.
